Mount Washington Resort has established itself as a premier resort in the country. The Mount Washington's kitchens have been an integral part of this growth, and now find the need and desire to train culinary professionals as part of our mission. To help achieve this goal, Mount Washington Resort has partnered with The New Hampshire Culinary Institute at the White Mountains Community College, the oldest culinary program in New England, to offer a way for student/apprentices to work in professional kitchens and receive college credits. Student/apprentices will work in a well-supervised environment, take classes and receive a AS degree in Culinary Arts. Student/apprentices will have the advantages of being paid while they are receiving college credits, working in professional kitchens, including all areas of the kitchen from Garde Manger to Pastries, and developing a exceptional knowledge of food production.

The Mount Washington Culinary Apprentice Program is a three-year program. During those three years, student/apprentices will work in all facets of the kitchen, as well as have opportunities to work at other properties. The student/apprentices will also have college courses built into their schedule and receive an Associates degree at the end of the three years. If you have been seriously considering a degree in Culinary Arts, we believe this is an excellent alternative to traditional culinary schools.
