As our guest, we want to ensure you are totally comfortable and all your needs are met in a friendly and professional way.
Please respect the tranquility of our Spa by not bringing your cell phone, PDA and other electronic devices. We do, however, invite you to bring your IPOD if you want to listen to your own music during your spa services.
Age: Our Spa is an adult enclave; therefore, we kindly ask that guests be at least 16 years of age or older to enjoy our services and facilities. However, children under the age of 16, when accompanied by an adult, may receive a manicure, pedicure or hair care service.
Arrival: We suggest that you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled spa appointment so you can get ready to “be in the moment.” In order to receive the full benefits of your treatment, allow enough time to familiarize yourself with all the facilities we offer; change into your robe and sandals; warm your muscles, open your pores and relax in the steam, sauna and/or outdoor whirlpool; cool down with a shower; or rest quietly in one of the relaxation lounges.
For nail and hair care appointments, please arrive ten minutes prior to the scheduled time.
As a courtesy to our guests, all appointments end on time, regardless of the start time.
Attire: Robes and sandals are provided for your comfort and enjoyment while in the Spa.
Cancellations & “No Shows”: If you need to cancel or re-schedule an appointment, please provide us with at least eight hours notice in order to avoid being charged in full for your scheduled appointment. “No-shows” will receive full charge to your room or credit card for the reserved services. We request 24-hour notice for cancellation of any spa package or appointments for parties of three or more to avoid being charged in full.
Note: “In full” charge includes the price of the service(s) plus gratuity.
Facility Fee: Spa facilities include men’s and women’s locker rooms, relaxation lounges, steam, sauna and outdoor garden lounge with whirlpool.
Resort guests and Mount Washington Alpine &Country Club members: There is a daily facility fee of $25 per person to enjoy these facilities without a spa service. With the purchase of a minimum of $105 in spa services, the facility fee is waived. With the purchase of less than $105, the facility fee is $15.
Non-resort guests: These guests may only use the spa facilities when taking spa services. With the purchase of a minimum of $105 in spa services, the facility fee is waived. With the purchase of less than $105, the facility fee is $15.
For Your Safety: Please be sure to inform your service provider if you are pregnant, have high blood pressure, heart ailments or any condition that may prohibit your taking heat, massage or skin care therapies. We highly discourage excessive alcohol consumption prior to, during or immediately following spa treatments. Please avoid immediate sun exposure following skin care therapy. We highly discourage shaving immediately prior to treatments.
Gratuity: For your convenience, a 20% gratuity will be added to all services and packages. If, for any reason, you do not feel the quality of your spa treatment warranted this, please let us know at The Spa Reception Desk before you leave The Spa and it will be adjusted. If you feel you have received exceptional service, please let us know that also. Additional gratuities may be left at your discretion in appreciation of exceptional service.
Personal Possessions: Please leave jewelry and valuables in the hotel safety deposit box. If you forget to do so, you may secure your valuables in The Spa’s safety deposit boxes. Please inquire at The Spa Reception Desk.
Prices: All prices are subject to change, but we will always inform you of any changes when you make your appointment.
Privacy: You will be given a robe and sandals to wear in The Spa and a private locker for your possessions. Our licensed therapists and estheticians are trained in procedures to assure you are properly covered during the treatment and your privacy will always be respected. If you feel more comfortable, you may wear your undergarments or request disposable ones. If you would like to request a certain service provider or gender, we will do our best to accommodate you.
Refreshments: Complimentary hot and cold beverages are provided in The Spa Relaxation Lounges. In addition, you can order specialty beverages, including wine and champagne, and healthy “lite-bites” from The Spa Cuisine Menu.
Reservations: Advance reservations for services are highly recommended. Before your arrival, you may call The Spa directly at either 877.278.2920 or 603.278.4286 or you can go to our web site - MountWashingtonResort.com. We welcome “spur of the moment” requests and will do our best to accommodate you based on availability.
Return Policy: If you are not satisfied with a product you have purchased at The Spa, it must be returned within ten days of the purchase with proof of purchase in order to receive a credit or to exchange it for a more suitable product. Returns without a receipt will receive store credit only.
Smoking: The entire Spa, both indoor and outdoor areas, is a smoke-free environment.
Special Occasions & Celebrations: Let us customize a package for that special event or person. The Spa is the ideal setting for bridal showers, birthday parties or friends’ getaways. Whether you want to thank your bridal party, celebrate with friends and family, or just treat yourself, we have the perfect setting. Gift Certificates: Gift certificates may be purchased for any treatment, package or dollar amount. Certificates must be presented at the time of the service to be redeemed. They may be purchased at The Spa reception desk, the Adventure Desk, and Mount Washington Resort gift certificates may be purchased by telephone or online by clicking here. Please be aware that The Spa is not responsible for lost or stolen certificates.
Group Specials: We offer Meeting Enhancers, Welcome/Thank-You Gifts and Spa Services for Groups designed especially for your meeting or conference.
