The Bretton Woods Canopy Tour is a unique experience in the heart of the White Mountains. This thrilling adventure will give you a bird's eye view of scenic Rosebrook Canyon. The 3 1/2 hour tour consists of 10 cable zips lines and two adventure sky bridges suspended 50 feet above the forest floor. Each zip varies in length with a maximum span of 830 feet and 150 feet above the ground. The final thrill consists of a dual zip line cable so you can race your friends or family members to the finish line!
The tour begins at the Bretton Woods Canopy Tour building, located on the slope side of the Bretton Woods Base Lodge. Here you will meet your qualified guides who will be accompanying you during the entire trip. You will have a detailed ground school orientation to discuss safety and equipment procedures. After being outfitted in harnesses and helmets you will be transported up the Bethlehem Express High Speed Quad chairlift to an elevation of 2600'. From here you will be ferried across Mt. Road Traverse to the start of the tour.
The first zip lines are located in Rosebrook Canyon. During time between zips, your knowledgeable guides will point out interesting facts about the local flora and fauna. You will be educated in local geology and the long cultural history of the White Mountain region. Connecting many of the zip lines are scenic nature trails that bring you back down onto the forest floor to observe the various plant species, listen for and spot native song birds.
The Canopy Tour is the ideal adventure. Nature lovers, bird watchers, and thrill seekers will all find something to excite them. Families, couples, corporate groups and groups of friends will find this adventure to be a one-of-a-kind experience they will never forget.
